Due to the ground conditions caused by excessive rain, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the Hunter Trial on 25th March.  Rain had continued to fall on Thursday and it would be impossible for an ambulance to move freely around the course given the soaked nature of the ground with little likelihood of drying out before tomorrow. And as the the safety of horse and rider is paramount the decision to cancel was taken.
