Indoor TREC is great education for all horses and ponies.
We run In Hand, Training classes, Newcomers, Level 1 & level 2.
Indoor Trec involves a control of paces phase which is basically a long rein walk covering as much ground as you can without breaking pace and then doing the opposite with the canter. If it goes wrong, it doesn't matter, the worst that happens is you score a zero.
The rest of the Indoor Trec involves the obstacle course phase. This is a series of obstacles that simulate what you might find out hacking. A well schooled horse will be great at this phase. Young horses gain masses of confidence from doing this phase. Each obstacle is marked out of 10 and again, the worst that can happen is you score a zero on that element. If there are any elements you don't want to do, you can tell the judge and the worst that can happen is you score a zero.
Children can go on lead rein.
It is fun, different, laid back and massively confidence boosting.
Pre Entry only for this event.
