What is an Eventers Challenge? 
A 2 Phase horse trial, the first section is over show jumps and the second is timed over natural obstacles. The show jump phase will be approx. 10 jumps, followed immediately by 10-12 cross country jumps on the main cross country course. The cross country for classes 1 & 2 will take place within an enclosed arena, also on grass.

Closing date for entries will be Wednesday 10th August, times will published  on our facebook  page and on Equo in the information section.   
What is an Eventers Challenge? 
A 2 Phase horse trial, the first section is over show jumps and the second is timed over natural obstacles. The show jump phase will be approx. 10 jumps, followed immediately by 10-12 cross country jumps on the main cross country course. The cross country for classes 1 & 2 will take place within an enclosed arena, also on grass. 
After the show jumps competitors must enter the start box and wait for the bell before beginning the 2nd phase over natural obstacles. A section of the cross country phase will be timed, and  may  include  knock down fences, which will ensure penalties (10 penelties).   Overall the winner and runners up will be those that achieve clear round in both phases with the fastest time over the cross county phase. Start times will be allocated to all competitors.
NB. At this event, if you are eliminated SJ, we may allow you to continue onto XC at the judges discretion, but anyone eliminated XC will have to leave the course at a walk allowing others to continue safely.
Payment Details & Event Fees  
Entries in advance via EQUO EVENTS.  
Eventers Challenge:  £15 per class or £20 per class height dependant (a small additional booking fee will be payable to Equo Events) 
All shows will be attended by a First Aider. First aid charges are included within the class entry fees. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Show Secretary, late entries will incur an additional  £2 late entry charge per class.   
Prize Information  
Rosettes to 6th place and trophies to winners.  
Dress 
Cross country colours or show jackets
Medical armbands and back protectors are compulsory. Competitors must provide their own number bibs and medical armbands. Second hand number bibs are available to purchase from the secretaries tent for £5.
Course Walking
The courses will be available to walk from 2pm the day before the competition.
