ENTRIES  • Entries online in advance via Equo Events.   No telephone entries.   • Entries close Tuesday 23rd August 2016.  • Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Entries Secretary and subject to a late entry fee of an extra £5.

COURSE WALKING - the ground will be open from 3pm on Saturday 27th June 2016.    
PRIZES: Trophy for 1st Place competitors, rosettes 1st to 6th place in each section. Specials for all unplaced in Class 1 & 2.   Rosette for highest placed dressage combination in each division. Classes may be divided into separate divisions depending on numbers.  
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY  
1. The event is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2015.  Please read the rules, which can be downloaded from the Pony Club website, before entering, and abide by them at all times.  The rules will have the following exceptions:   
a. If you have three refusals at one fence you may go on, at the Judge’s/Steward’s discretion.  
b. If you are eliminated in the Show Jumping you may go on to the Cross Country phase ONLY IF you have the permission of the Show Jumping Judge that you are safe to continue (whose decision is final).     
c. Classes 1, 2,3 & 4 - the Dressage test may be ridden in any normal riding bit (such as a snaffle, gag, or pelham type with a straight bar, single joint or french link). 
d. Class 1 may wear grass reins. 
e. The cross country course is not timed in any of the classes. 
f. Some fences may be wide flagged to assist horse / pony and riders, the jump option required for each class will be clearly marked. 
2. A horse/pony may only be entered in one class and ridden once, the only exception to this is that a horse / pony may compete in a second mini class with a second rider.   All horses/ponies must be 5 years old or over.  No stallions.  
3. Dressage tests may be called for all classes 
4. MEDICAL ARMBANDS and BODY PROTECTORS are compulsory for cross-country and body protectors are advised for show jumping.  Riders wearing body cages must leave a key with the secretary before going cross country.  
5. A fastened hat must be worn at all times when mounted . Please ensure you are wearing a hat that conforms to the 2016 standards. If in doubt, please refer to the Pony club website http://www.pcuk.org/uploads/dcs/Hat_Rule_2016_FV.pdf . All hats must be tagged as conforming to the pony club / Riding Club standards.  This will be checked before the dressage – take any untagged hats to the secretary beforehand.  There will be a charge of £1 for hats to be tagged.  A fastened hat must be worn at all times when mounted.  
6. Any competitor who has a fall or sustains a serious injury anywhere at the competition site must see medical personnel on the day and be passed fit to ride before riding that horse in a further test or before riding any other horse. Any competitor having a fall injury needs to report to the Secretary to have the fall logged in the Accident log.   
7. Objections may be lodged, in writing, to the Secretary with a £10 deposit within 10 minutes of the publication of the results for that class.  
8. Excessive use of whip or spurs will result in disqualification, the judges decision is final.  
9. All withdrawals must be made by the closing date.  
10. If cancelled, £5.00 will be retained from the entry fee; the balance will be paid in June on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope.  
11. All dogs must be kept on a short lead.  
12. Please do not muck out lorries/trailers in the car park and take all litter home.  
13. The Judges decision is final.  
14. Health, safety and welfare: The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.  
15. Legal liability:  Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club/ The Riding Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
