HOWE’S SUPREME OF THE YEAR
PRIZE FUND OF £2000

For the 2017 Showing Season, we will be awarding points as listed below. Each horse/rider/handler combination will accumulate points throughout the season to qualify for the Howe Grand Finale at the Anniversary Charity Show.

Combinations achieving 50-75 points will qualify for the Bronze finale, taking part on the day of the Anniversary show to receive a speciality bronze rosette. The winning Bronze combination will go forward to the Silver finale.

Combinations achieving 75-100 points will qualify for the Silver finale, taking part on the day of the Anniversary show to receive a speciality silver rosette. The winning Silver combination will go forward to the Gold finale.

Combinations achieving 100 or more points will qualify for the Gold finale, taking part on the day of the Anniversary show to receive a speciality gold rosette. The winner of the Gold finale, selected by our panel of judges, will be Howe’s Supreme of the Year, winning themselves £500 and a further £500 for their chosen charity. Howe’s Reserve Supreme of the Year will win themselves £250 and a further £250 for their chosen charity.
The combination achieving the most points throughout the season will receive the Easy Strider trophy, sash and rosette to be awarded at the Anniversary Show.

TROPHY
£250 to The Ecosse Elite Winner with £250 to the Winners chosen charity. 
This trophy will be awarded to the horse or pony from a Scottish breed which achieves the most points throughout our showing season, with double points being awarded at our Anniversary Show which will have dedicated Scottish breed classes.

Championships


All qualified horses and ponies will be listed on the Caledonian Showing Show’s website www.caledonianchampionships.webs.com where you will also find a regularly updated list of qualifying shows as well as a wealth of other information.  

  



Our Spring Show will see the launch of the 2017 15+ Showing Series in Scotland.

This Showing Series is designed to offer more showing activity for older horses and ponies, fulfilling the increasing demand for classes for older horses and ponies to show their longevity in work. 
The age of each horse/pony must be recorded on the entry form.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd horse or pony aged over 15 years old in each of the classes marked on the schedule with “(15+)” qualify for the 15+ Scottish Championship. 
Qualifiers are open to members and non-members of 15+, however all entering 
the Scottish Championship Finals must be members. Scottish Championship will be held here at Highfield at Howe during the Anniversary Show on 9th + 10th September 2017.

CHAPS (UK) Championship Qualifiers
"This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No. TO FOLLOW . Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete.  However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge.  Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 31st August-2nd September 2017. Shows held on or after t of Championship Show will count as 2018 qualifiers. he Postal Entry closing date The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers [Show Secretary to insert class numbers]. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com  for rulings. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK).  All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception.






Veteran Horse Society – QUALIFIER 2017.

First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final:

Each VHS affiliation in Scotland now holds a PRE-QUAL Supreme Final qualification
There is no 2nd round each show has the same status.
Open to members and non-members. However, only Members may go forward to the VHS Championship of the day.   

VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification. ONLY MEMBERS placed 1st to 2nd in each age category will go to the Veteran Championship of the Day.  In all classes - if competitors’ placed1st or 2nd are not Members qualification will be given to 3rd & 4th providing they are Members. Qualification will not go lower than 4th place.

All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances.  Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.  

Champions and Reserve Both In-hand and Ridden must have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification.  This will qualify through the pre-judging of the Supreme.  A Blue card entry will be given by the judge to complete and return to VHS Head Office, with the relevant entry fee.

Young Rider Championship qualification.  A Young Rider rosette and qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge’s choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship Prior to the Supreme Final This award is given at the Judge’s discretion. Non Members to receive an orange card.


PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY CLASS TRANSFERS ON THE DAY WILL COST AN ADDITIONAL ADMIN FEE OF £4.00 PER CLASS
IF ANY SECTION/ARENA RUNS LATE WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MOVE CLASSES TO ANOTHER ARENA OR JUDGE IN ORDER TO RUN THE SHOW ON TIME.
